iPad 4th Gen

In November 2012 Apple introduced the 4th generation iPad, commonly known as the iPad 4. This iteration brought notable improvements to the tablet’s performance and connectivity. The device retained the successful iPad design from the previous 3rd generation with the same 9.7-inch high-resolution Retina display.

The key upgrade in the iPad 4 was its internal hardware. It was powered by the A6X 32bit processor, which offered nearly twice the performance over its predecessor. This made it exceptionally responsive, capable of handling demanding applications and tasks with ease. Graphics performance also saw significant improvements, enhancing the gaming and multimedia experiences.

Shipping with iOS 6 with the ability to upgrade to iOS 10, the iPad 4 ensured access to the latest apps and features for a considerable time. Additionally, this model introduced a Lightning connector, replacing the older 30-pin dock connector, which was a significant change in terms of connectivity and charging.

Other changes include a dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHZ WiFi adapter allowing for increased network performance and a new 1.2MP front-facing selfie camera replacing the outdated 0.3 camera found in earlier versions

Apple offered the iPad 4 in various storage capacities, including 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and for the first time a 128GB capacity model. It featured both front and rear cameras for photography and video conferencing.
