iPad 6th Gen

The 6th generation iPad, introduced in March 2018, simply referred to as the iPad (2018), retains the same non-laminated 9.7-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels found on the earlier 5th Gen iPad, providing sharp vibrant visuals and affordable screen replacement.

It was powered by the Quad Core Apple A10 Fusion chip, offering a significant ~35% boost in performance compared to its predecessor. This allowed for smooth multitasking, responsive app performance, and an enhanced gaming experience while still fitting into the same $329 price point.

The iPad (2018) offered two storage options: 32GB and 128GB, catering to various storage needs. It supported the optional Apple Pencil 1st Generation, making it a versatile tool for note-taking and creative tasks. The device shipped with iOS 11 (Upgradable to iPadOS 17), providing access to the latest features and apps in the Apple ecosystem.

It also featured the same 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera for basic photography and video conferencing. With its combination of performance, affordability, and Apple’s software ecosystem, the 6th generation iPad remained a popular and versatile choice for learning.
