The second-generation iPad Mini, released in 2013, introduced notable upgrades and built upon feedback from its earlier 1st generation mini predecessor.
Featuring a new 7.9-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, the device offered enhanced clarity and vibrant visuals on par with other current devices in the iPad family. The physical design otherwise remains mostly unchanged however the colour of the rear of the device was updated to include Space Grey.
Powered by the A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, it delivered a notable step up in performance and efficiency. The inclusion of the M7 motion coprocessor enhanced sensor-related tasks, contributing to a more responsive user experience.
Equipped with a 5-megapixel iSight camera and a FaceTime HD camera, the iPad Mini 2 provided solid imaging capabilities. Retaining the slim and lightweight design, it shipped with iOS 7, ensuring access to the latest features and applications.
