Released in 2015, the iPad Mini 4 represented a significant evolution for the iPad Mini and compact tablet series. With a sleeker design and improved internals, it featured a 7.9-inch Retina display offering sharp visuals and vibrant colours.
Externally the iPad Mini 4 is thinner measuring in at only 6.5mm and lighter body however it is slightly wider and taller despite the screen size remaining unchanged. The visual screen quality has been improved through the use of laminating and the application of a new antiglare coating. Other changes include the removal of the side-mounted mute button and an improved 8.0MP rear camera.
Powered by the dual-core A8 chipset with second-generation 64-bit architecture, 2GB RAM and an M8 motion coprocessor, the device delivered enhanced performance and efficiency which allowed for improved multitasking of the new iOS 9.
